  • All is Aweome but the Voice Recognition/NAV a ZERO

By bethereornot on Monday, April 09, 2018

    5.0
The ride, power and technology is awesome. But like I said in the Summary, I give the the Navigation and the Voice recognition a big fat 0 out of 10. I thought Siri could be bad, this takes bad to another level. NAV never takes the route that my phone gives me, not even close. My brother and I both bought a new Toyota about a week apart and the experience is the same for both of us, so much we joke about it on the phone because he lives 500 miles away. We will be in our SUV and say listen to this. Directions to main st Columbus Ohio, it will come back and say finding a doughnut shop closest to you (just an Example) We have both trained and retrained the system but owell we both have smart phones to rescue us and that isnt why either of us bought our SUV. I would buy it again even with the short comings of some of the techy stuff.
  • Front seat headrests force head too far forward

By Ken on Friday, June 21, 2019

This is our 2nd Highlander Hybrid and we are keeping our 2008. My gripe is with the front seat headrests that force one's head too far forward and are not adjustable like the Subaru's. The 2008 is comfortable, but the 2019 is not because of the headrest. It's especially a problem now that I have sciatica and should keep my back straighter and my hip rotated a bit forward.
  • Just a couple things, seats & carpet...

By Sally A. on Sunday, June 16, 2019

    4.0
I love my Highlander with the exception of the seats that are quite hard and not comfortable for more an hour long ride. Another big issue is the carpet...or should it be called "felt". The carpet seems substandard and is virtually impossible to vacuum clean. I think for the cost of the car, $40,000+, the carpet shouldn't be cheap. I like to have a clean car so vacuuming the dirt and grass off the carpet shouldn't be so difficult!! Also, the car should come with 3rd row floor mat as standard equipment.
