What's new for 2023?
In the 2023 model year, the Toyota brand will see several big changes. Due to a decline in sedan sales, the Toyota Avalon will no longer be in production. The bZ4X will be fully electric, and the all-new Sequoia SUV will go full-size.
Outside of those big changes, most are just updated improvements. The 4Runner model adds a limited-run 40th Anniversary Edition with 17-inch wheels, colorful body striping, and bronze seat stitching. The Camry now has three powertrain options, and a Nightshade Special Edition on SE trims. The Toyota Corolla sedan and hatchback get a mid-cycle refresh with revised styling, LED lighting, and new paint colors.
Then there are models like the CH-R or Venza that receive no changes. Or models like the Toyota Highlander that replaced its 3.5-liter V6 engine with a turbocharged 2.4-liter inline-four-cylinder. And for models like the Prius, there's still no information on the upcoming model. Though perhaps the biggest changes are from the Toyota Tundra.
The 2023 Toyota Tundra
The Toyota Tundra is receiving a full redesign this year. It's offered in a Double Cab and CrewMax configuration. And this model comes standard with a twin-turbo, 3.5-liter 389 horsepower V6 engine matched to a 10-speed automatic transmission. An optional hybrid variant also produces 437 horsepower, and 583-pounds of torque can be added.
In addition to a new exterior design, the interior has been reworked and modernized with a 14-inch infotainment screen. The 2023 model year brings paint color changes. As well as a new SX Package. This package adds Dark Gray Metallic 18-inch wheels and a smoked silver interior trim to the Tundra SR5 trims.
